About our Grants

Early readers are thriving in pre-schools.To help more children take advantage of this step-up a Fundholder set up the Read-With -Me Scholarship to pay the annual preschool tuition of two gifted youngsters who need financial help.

Currently the Community Foundation of western Nevada manages assets of over $62 million.

We receive funds from individuals and corporations and then make grants to nonprofit organizations to meet current community priorities and prepare for tomorrow's challenges.

There is an application process for grants disbursed from Community Partnership Grant Program. All other grants are specifically disbursed on the advisement of the Donors. On occasion a donor advised fund will publish a request for proposals which you will find on this page.

Since 1998 the Community Foundation has granted more than $57 million to nonprofit organizations locally and around the world. In 2011 the Community Foundation awarded grants and scholarships totaling more than $10 million.
