Community Partnership Grants vs. Advised Fund Grants
Each year through a competitive application process, grants are awarded to organizations and programs that meet the Community Foundation's mission of strengthening the community through philanthropy. Applications are open to all areas of interest and to all community nonprofit organizations with the exception of religious organizations. The Community Partnership Advisory Committee reviews the grant applications and make recommendations to the Area Foundation Board of Directors. At the discretion of the Board, awards are distributed to qualifying nonprofit organizations from the Community Partnership Grant Program Funds.
The Community Foundation offers a variety of funds from which donors can designate grants and endowments throughout the year. All grants are ratified by the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation. Gifts to the community from these funds are based on guidelines provided by the donors and are in accordance with the Community Foundation grant policy. Grants for Donor Advised Funds are made to nonprofit, educational and religious organizations in our area and throughout the country. There is no application process to receive grants from these funds.
