2010 Community Partnership Grant RFP has been Revised

Once again, the Community Foundation trustees recognize that nonprofits in our region continue to face monumental financial challenges due to our changing economic environment. The Community Partnership Grant Request for Proposal has been revised and the new RFP is published through this link.

Proposals in response to the Community Partnership Grant Program request for proposal should be focused on sustaining nonprofit operations and services to constituents. Grant awards will be based on an organization’s innovative and continuing response to our changing economic climate. Successful proposals will reflect the applicant’s ability to make budget adjustments, while continuing to provide services essential to that organization’s mission.

Grants will be awarded to organizations that serve northern Nevada and will be up to $5,000 for one year of support.

Funds for the Community Partnership Grants come from unrestricted donations, designated income from donor advised funds, and income in the Community Endowment Fund. With these grants the Board of the Community Foundation is working to: “Strengthen our community through philanthropy by connecting people who care with causes that matter.”

To be eligible to apply, your organization must be a governmental entity, an educational institution, or a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has held tax-exempt status for five years or more as of the application deadline.
